Privacy policy
This covers personal data Press Setu holds. It is a short document because we hold very little: newsroom staff accounts, and enquiries from people asking about the product.

Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how Press Setu actually intends to operate, and it is published early so prospective customers can read it — but do not rely on it as a settled contract. Ask us and we will tell you where it stands.
What we hold
Newsroom staff accounts: a name, an email address, a role, and the record of what that account published or changed.
Sales enquiries: whatever a person types into the enquiry form — a name, an email address, and optionally a phone number, a publication name, a city and a message.
That is the whole list.
What we do not do
Each newspaper on Press Setu counts its readers with Google Analytics, in a property we set up and run on the newspaper's behalf. The figures are the newspaper's. We read them only as totals: how many readers, which pages, and where they arrived from.
We do not build profiles of readers. Google signals and advertising features are switched off on every property, there is no advertising network, and no data is sold to anyone.
A reader of a publication on Press Setu is that publication's reader, not ours.
How long we keep it
A sales enquiry is given a deletion date at the moment it is captured, rather than one somebody sets later, and is removed when that date passes unless it has become a customer record.
Staff accounts are held for as long as the publication is a customer. After a publication leaves, its data is retained for at least ninety days so it can be recovered, then deleted.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider, which stores the data in Mumbai, and our email provider, which delivers messages we send. Neither uses it for anything of their own.
Google, whose Analytics service counts each newspaper's readers for that newspaper, under Google's own terms.
We do not share personal data with anyone else, and we have no arrangement under which anybody buys it.
Your rights
Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to delete it and we will, except where we are required to keep an invoice or an audit record.
